Many of the stone mullioned leaded windows have only recently seen daylight again after their obliteration during the window taxes of the 1790''s. Visitors have a choice of two sitting rooms, one with a library, the other with a large open fire place and there is a separate dining room. We have facilities for most small functions, including a spacious meeting room. Insomniacs and asthma sufferers have commented on the beneficial effects of the Biggin air. The diverse nature of the Derbyshire landscape with its dry-stone walling, deep wooden valleys, heather clad moorlands, timeless market towns and villages, provides the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday.
